This is a course about how to use AI effectively and ethically. It is suitable for student grade 6 - 12 and teachers and staff.
The AI Program is a year-long, cross-curricular learning experience designed to prepare students for an AI-rich world—not as passive users of technology, but as thoughtful creators, collaborators, and ethical decision-makers. The program treats AI as a new form of literacy that spans communication, creativity, reasoning, digital citizenship, and real-world problem solving. Students gain both conceptual understanding and hands-on practice with AI tools, culminating in the ability to build and train their own personalized chatbot.

Students design and build their first AI chatbot using a no-code platform. Through a multi-step project, they explore how AI chatbots are shaped by their training data, conversation flow, and knowledge base.

Lesson 4 - Philosophy & Ethics of AI Chatbots
Students examine the philosophical and ethical dimensions of AI chatbots. Through discussions, small challenges, guided investigations, and guardrail design, students explore bias, hallucination, cultural sensitivity, human–AI cognition differences, AI creativity, AI memory limits, guardrails, and data privacy.

Full Year Program
The curriculum spans 2 semesters (32 weeks), organized into thematic units:

Unit 4: AI in Science, Engineering & Environment
Unit 5: AI in Computer Science & Games

Unit 7: AI in Social Studies (History, Politics, Economics)
Unit 8: AI in Entrepreneurship & Social Media
Each unit follows a predictable pacing structure (usually 3–4 weeks) with multiple lessons incorporating exploration, instruction, and project-based learning. The calendar ensures deepening complexity over time: foundational skills → creative applications → technical understanding → ethical reasoning → real-world problem solving.
